Sanctuary

Since 1845

A heritage of faith.

Clough Presbyterian Church was founded in 1845 by a small group of families seeking to worship together in the Reformed tradition. The original meeting house, built of local stone, still forms the heart of our sanctuary today.

Through war and revival, depression and renewal, this congregation has gathered week by week to hear the Word, sing the Psalms, and pray together. Generations of families have been baptised, married and laid to rest within these walls.

Today we continue that same calling — to worship the living God and to make Christ known in our community and to the ends of the earth.

What We Believe

Our beliefs are summarised in the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms.
